Room Rewards is a monthly, metric-driven program to reward Rec Room’s best and encourage improving performance in Rooms. The metrics and rewards may change each month, but you’ll always be able to see your Room’s progress and eligibility in the Room Rewards section of Creator Hub. December and January Room RewardsWe're keeping it chill for December and January, so you can still earn the R2 Hoodie + Bonus tokens and Seller Swag Bubbly. Be prepared for some potential big changes to the program in the new year, though, and we'll do our best to communicate them to you early and often. Wondering when you can expect rewards to be sent?- November reward boxes were sent December 3rd 2024.
- December reward boxes are expected to be sent between January 6th-10th 2025.
Like usual, Rooms will be evaluated based on their ability to engage users through tokens and/or time spent. Check out the current Metrics and Rewards below: Metrics & RewardsThere are two main metrics and two bonus metrics a Room can qualify for. The reward amount is determined by which Tier a Room has achieved and Rooms must meet the minimum Tier threshold to unlock the reward. How much a Room earns is relative to how well it’s able to engage users through tokens and/or time spent.
TIME SPENT PER USER- 500 users must spend 120 minutes or more in a Room during the month to achieve S Tier and unlock token rewards
- 200 tokens will be rewarded per eligible user once S Tier is achieved
EXAMPLESA Room achieves S Tier with 31,222 users spending 120 minutes or more during the month. The Room's projected rewards is 31,222 users x 200 tokens per user = 6,244,400 tokens.A Room has 157 users that spent 120 minutes or more throughout the month. The Room is considered B Tier and needs 343 more users spending 120 minutes or more to achieve S Tier and unlock token rewards.
TOKENS SPENT PER USER250 Users must spend 2500 tokens or more in a 2.0 Room during the month to reach S Tier and unlock token rewards. Reach B Tier or above and unlock Seller Swag Bubbly. See the breakdown below:- S Tier = 2500 tokens per user + Seller Swag Bubbly
- A Tier = Seller Swag Bubbly

EXAMPLESA Room achieves S Tier with 1271 users that spent 2500 tokens or more during the month. The Room's projected rewards is 1271 users x 2500 tokens per eligible user = 3,177,500 tokens + Seller Swag Bubbly.A Room has 150 users that spent 2500 tokens or more throughout the month. The Room is considered A Tier and has earned the Seller Swag Bubbly consumable item. It needs 100 more users spending 2500 tokens or more to achieve S Tier and unlock token rewards.
ROOMS 2.0 BONUS - ENGAGEMENT (TIME SPENT PER USER IN A 2.0 ROOM)Users must spend 120 minutes or more in a 2.0 Room during the month. Reach C Tier or above to unlock token rewards and the Rooms 2.0 Hoodie. See the breakdown below:- S Tier = 200 tokens per user + Rooms 2.0 Hoodie

Rooms 2.0 Bonus - Engagement
EXAMPLESA Room achieves S Tier with 1000 users spending 120 minutes or more in your 2.0 Room during the month. The Room's projected rewards is 1000 users x 200 tokens = 200,000 tokens and the Rooms 2.0 Hoodie. This Room would've also earned the same amount from the Engagement metric, which means the total token rewards are doubled to be 400,000 tokens!124 users spent 120 minutes or more in your 2.0 Room throughout the month. The Room is considered C Tier and has unlocked token rewards of 25 tokens per eligible user. The Room's projected rewards is 124 x 25 tokens = 3,100 tokens and the Rooms 2.0 Hoodie. It is not eligible for any tokens from the non-bonus Engagement metric until it reaches S Tier.
ROOMS 2.0 BONUS - COMMERCE (TOKENS SPENT PER USER IN A 2.0 ROOM)250 Users must spend 2500 tokens or more in a 2.0 Room during the month to reach S Tier. Reach C Tier or above to unlock token rewards and the Rooms 2.0 Hoodie. See the breakdown below:- S Tier = 2500 tokens per user + Rooms 2.0 Hoodie

Rooms 2.0 Bonus - Commerce
EXAMPLESA Room achieves S Tier with 321 users spending 2500 tokens or more in your 2.0 Room during the month. The Room's projected rewards from this Bonus metric is 321 users x 2500 tokens = 802,500 tokens and the Rooms 2.0 Hoodie. This Room would've also earned the same amount from the Commerce metric, which means the total token rewards are doubled to be 1,605,000 tokens!70 users spent 2500 tokens or more in your 2.0 Room throughout the month. The room is considered B Tier and has unlocked token rewards of 625 tokens per eligible user. The Room's projected rewards is 70 x 625 tokens = 43,750 tokens and the Rooms 2.0 Hoodie. It's not eligible for any tokens from the non-bonus Commerce metric until it reaches S Tier.
Additional Rules- Rooms must not be banned for moderation purposes at any point during the month.
- Rec Room employees are not eligible to participate in the program. Rooms with Rec Room employees as Owners/Co-owners may be disqualified from participating.
- Only those who are Co-owners or Contributors with Earnings Distribution at the time rewards are calculated and distributed are eligible to receive rewards.
- Creators that have been banned at any point during the month will be ineligible for rewards. This does not apply to associated account bans or warnings.
- Only published rooms are eligible to receive rewards
- We reserve the right to disqualify any room(s) that we believe are exploiting the metrics or program in any way.
FAQQ: How do I check my progress and eligibility?A: You can check the progress and eligibility of your rooms in the Creator Hub on the Room Rewards "My Rooms" tab.Q: Do all users count once I reach S Tier or only the users who hit the metric?A: You will only be rewarded for the users who hit the metric. Using the Engagement metric as an example: If you have 1000 people who visited and 624 of them spent 120 minutes or more in your room, you would get 200 tokens for the 624 people, but not for the others that don’t spend two hours or more.Q: Are the Tokens stackable from each Tier?A: No. Rooms must meet the minimum Tier threshold to unlock the reward. That means the tokens per user is calculated at which ever Tier your Room makes it to. The max is 200 per eligible user for S Tier Bonus Rooms 2.0 - Engagement Rooms and 2500 per eligible user for S Tier Bonus Rooms 2.0 Commerce Rooms.Q: Can my room qualify for more than one metric?A: Yes!Q: Is there a pre-determined number of rooms that can qualify for rewards?A: No! All published rooms that meet the criteria for any of the metrics are eligible for rewards.Q: Is my Room eligible for Room Rewards every month?A: Yes! Rooms can participate every month.Q: Will there be rewards for other Tiers?A: Yes! 2.0 Rooms that meet the Bonus metric criteria are eligible for rewards starting at C Tier. We also recently introduced a new reward for B Tier+ in Commerce.Q: Is the Commerce Metric counting tokens before or after Rec Room's 30% fee?A: Eligibility is determined by gross tokens spent in-room per user - that means total tokens spent per user before the 30% fee.Q: When will I receive the rewards?A: Within the first week after the monthly campaign period ends. So if the campaign ends November 30, you can expect rewards the first week of December. Remember to keep your desired Earnings Distribution settings for the month until after Rewards have been sent. Checkout the FAQ in the latest Room Rewards news article to see exact dates.Q: What time zone are the results calculated in?A: We use UTC.Q: What if the Room has multiple creators?A: As usual, we will split the tokens among creators, co-owners, and contributors for each eligible Room based on the Room’s Earnings Distribution on the day we send out rewards.Q: If a Co-owner is banned, do the others get their rewards?A: Yes, rewards are sent out according to the Earnings Distribution of the room regardless of someone’s ban status. For example, if the Earnings Distribution is set so Co-owner A receives 60% and Co-owner B receives 40%, then Co-owner A still receives 60% of the tokens rewarded even if Co-owner B is banned.Q: Can the tokens received from Room Rewards be exchanged for money?A: Yes, eligible players can cash out their tokens through the Partnered Creator program.Q: Do I still need to tag my Room to participate?A: No, tagging is not required.Q: How often will the metrics and rewards change?A: The metrics and rewards may change every month as we iterate on the program.Q: I really want the Seller Swag Bubbly! How do I make sure I get it?A: Your Room must reach B Tier on the Commerce metric and you must be an Owner, Co-owner, or Contributor of that Room with Earnings Distribution. You must have a percent of earnings distributed to you to be eligible, you will not receive the item for just being an owner or contributor.Q: I've never heard of the Seller Swag Bubbly. What is it?A: It's an exclusive bubbly that's usually only rewarded for selling content in Rec Room. The last time we gave it out was over a year ago in January 2023 for a Custom Shirt Sellathon. Enjoy!Q: What does the Rooms 2.0 Hoodie look like?Q: I really want that hoodie! How do I make sure I get it?A: Your Room needs to reach C Tier on any of the R2 Bonus metrics and you must be an Owner, Co-owner, or Contributor of that Room with Earnings Distribution. You also must have a percent of earnings distributed to you to be eligible, not just be an owner or contributor.Q: Is the Rooms 2.0 Hoodie only available for C Tier or will the higher Tiers also get the hoodie?A: C Tier and above receive the hoodie.Q: How long will the Rooms 2.0 Hoodie be available?A: The hoodie was only planned to be available for all C Tier and above Rooms through June 2024. It was removed in July 2024, but returned shortly after in August! It's now planned to stick around until R2 enters Beta.Q: Is the Rooms 2.0 Hat available?A: Not through Room Rewards.
