Earn rewards for engaging players through tokens spent in your Rooms!
Room Rewards is a monthly, metric-driven program to reward and support Rec Room Creators and encourage improving performance in Rooms.The metrics and rewards may change each month, but you’ll be able to see your Room’s progress and eligibility in the Room Rewards section of Creator Hub.
Room QualificationsA Room can qualify for Commerce metrics. The reward amount is determined by how well the Room engages users through tokens, and is divided based on the Earnings Distribution in the Room settings at the time rewards are distributed.
Progressive SystemAs of July 2025, the Old System has been phased out, and all Room Rewards are paid out through the progressive system!Note: Engagement rewards have been phased out as of January 2026. Rooms are only eligible to earn rewards through the Commerce track.

- Only published rooms are qualified to receive rewards.
- Rooms or Creators that are banned during the month, or Rec Room Employees, are disqualified. This does not apply to associated account bans or warnings.
- Rooms we believe are exploiting the program may be disqualified.
- Rooms with no saves or publishes in the last 90 days will not be eligible for any Room Rewards
Progressive SystemAs of July 2025, the Old System has been phased out, and all Room Rewards are paid out through the progressive system!Note: Engagement rewards have been phased out as of January 2026. Rooms are only eligible to earn rewards through the Commerce track.
To earn rewards based on Commerce metrics, you must have at least 31 users who each spend 2500 tokens or more on Keys, Currencies, Consumables, Offers, or Custom Avatar Items in a room during the month. The rewards are determined by multiplying the token rate by the number of qualified users in each Tier. Qualified Users are users above the 31-user minimum. Users under 31 are not included in the final amounts.
FAQ Q: How do I check my progress and eligibility?A: You can check the progress and eligibility of your rooms in the Creator Hub on the Room Rewards "My Rooms" tab. Q: Do I use the same token rate for all qualified users?A: No, the token rate is applied up to the maximum number of users for each Tier, then added together. Q: How many rooms can qualify for rewards?A: Every Room that meets the qualifications and metrics is eligible. Q: Can a room be eligible for Room Rewards every month?A: Yes! Q: Can the tokens received from Room Rewards be exchanged for money?A: Yes, eligible players can cash out their tokens through the Partnered Creator program. Q: How is the Commerce Metric calculated?A: Eligibility is determined by gross tokens spent in-room on Keys, Currencies, Consumables, Offers, and Custom Avatar Items - that means the total tokens spent per user before fees. Q: When will I receive the rewards?A: Within the first week after the month ends. Q: What time zone are the results calculated in?A: We use UTC. Q: What if the Room has multiple creators?A: Rewards are split based on the Room’s Earnings Distribution when the rewards are distributed. Q: If a Co-Owner is banned, do the others get their rewards?A: Yes, other co-owners are unaffected and rewards are sent out according to the Earnings Distribution. For example, if a co-owner is set to receive 40% and is banned, the other co-owners will still receive 60% of the tokens rewarded to the room. Q: What happened to the Seller Swag Bubbly?A: The Seller Swag Bubbly was removed in favor of Tokens when the new Progressive System was introduced.
