Become A Workshop Host
Teach your own fun subjects and earn rewards as a workshop host!
Your creative events will help new and existing creators learn and become more comfortable with creative tools, master the tips and tricks of Rec Room creation, become part of the creative community, and just have a lot of fun in Rec Room. These workshop events will cover a variety of simple creation topics. Topics such as creating furniture, fun objects, themed objects, simple circuit setups, and so much more.QualificationsIf you are an existing creator looking to start a workshop event, please review these requirements:
- Must follow the Rec Room Code of Conduct.
- Must have created some quality rooms and inventions.
- The host of the event will be the only one eligible for the rewards.
- Must be in the Creative Club Discord where it will be easy to reach you.
- If you have been approved, a member of the creative team will assign you the Workshop Host role in the Creative Club Discord.
Requirements For Hosting Workshop EventsOnce you have signed up and you have been approved, we will send you a form that you will have to fill out after each event. To get credit for hosting an event, you must submit:
- User name, display name, and Discord profile name with #
- Event name
- Event time and date
- Must run for 1 - 3 hours.
- Rec.net Event link
- Every event must have pictures covering the beginning, middle, end of the event and one group photo. Host will need to provide Rec.net links to these pictures.
Setting Up Your EventIf you would like to put on a workshop event, whether it is just putting together a bookshelf, making plants, or making a disco ball, this is a great opportunity to introduce new users to Rec Room creation, and maybe even teach new skills to existing creators, and get rewarded in the process.
- Chose one topic to teach. Usually something small and not overly complicated. For example, making a bookshelf, plants, or disco ball.
- All events must follow the Rec Room Code of Conduct.
- The host of the event will be the only one eligible for the rewards.
- Each event can run for a minimum of 1 hour or a maximum of 3 hours.
- Each event can have 10 - 40 players.
- All events must invite the Creative Club, others are welcome as well.
- Tag each event with #class
- Put your event up in ^WorkshopsEvents
- Take photos at the beginning, middle, and end of the event.
- If you have been approved, a member of the creative team will assign you the Workshop Host role in the Rec Room Creative Club Discord.
Maker Pen Skin Rewards!The host owner of the event will be rewarded a Maker Pen Skin after hosting 25 and 45 events: Maker Pen Skin (Daytime) at 25 Events Registered, and Maker Pen Skin (Night) at 45 Events Registered
